When a visitor is trying to find out where they are – they’re no longer experiencing the exhibition. When your audience is lost, you’ve lost your audience.

The National Railway Museum asked us to produce a short-term solution to improve a low visibility and ineffective wayfinding system before a bigger project in 2012.

Representing the heritage of the railways through use of appropriate colours, text and imagery; the scheme was designed around significantly improving visibility and comprehension performance.

We provided strategy, design, production and management services for the new system, composed of a new map and entrance boards for the main halls.
